Biography

Myrtle D. Millares is Research Associate at the University of Toronto Scarborough, Canada, in the Department of Arts, Culture and Media. She is a classical pianist, a longtime student of Hip Hop and breaking, and a climate justice advocate and activist. An immigrant from the Philippines, she is grateful to live on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, which we now call Toronto.
