Riccardo Cristiani is a medievalist by training and a freelance scholar, editor, and translator. In addition to several articles on medieval monasticism, he has recently co-authored – with Barbara H. Rosenwein – What Is the History of Emotions? (2017) and co-edited Monastic Emotions (Pakistan Journal of Historical Studies 5/1—2, 2021).
