Ben Lowings teaches sailors knots through his work as an RYA Cruising Instructor. He has written about knots for Practical Boat Owner and is a regular contributor to UK and US boating magazines. He is a member of the International Guild of Knot Tyers as well as the Society for Nautical Research.
