A. Sacit Açikgözoglu is a classical ebru and calligraphy artist who, between 2009 and 2024, worked as an academic specialising in book arts, inscriptions and Ottoman architecture in Turkey. He received his ebru icazet from Sadreddin Özçimi in 2005 and has been training ebru students since then. In 2025, he was appointed Chancellor of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. He is also involved in TIKA’s Ottoman heritage restoration projects and organises Turkish Ebru exhibitions worldwide.
