Rafael Tosi Germán

Rafael Tosi grew up in Colonia, in southwestern Uruguay. Originally focused as a student on paleontology, his interest in birds grew during his studies, leading to a master’s degree in zoology studying the interactions between cowbirds and horneros. He subsequently worked on several research projects and environmental impact assessments, spending long field hours studying Uruguayan wildlife. He now lives in the city of Colonia del Sacramento, where he runs his birding tour enterprise called Colonia Birding, showing visitors the wildlife of Uruguay.
