Biography

Marc Bennetts is a British journalist formerly based in Moscow, where he lived for 25 years before being barred from the country by Vladimir Putin. He has reported from Russia, Iran, and North Korea for the Guardian, The Times, the Observer and the New York Times, among other publications. He spent 18 months as a reporter for Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency. He is the author of Kicking the Kremlin, a biography of opposition figures in Russia which was published when he was still a freelancer. It was republished in 2016 in paperback as I'm Going to Ruin Their Lives by Oneworld.
