Aviezer Tucker is Associate at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, Harvard University, USA. He is the editor The Blackwell Companion to the Philosophy of History and Historiography (2008) and is the author of Our Knowledge of the Past: A Philosophy of Historiography (2004). He has also published books in political philosophy and theory and intellectual history, and numerous articles about the philosophy of the historical sciences, epistemology, and the history of ideas. He has held research positions at Harvard University, the University of Texas in Austin, the University of Cologne, the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, the Australian National University, New York University, Columbia University, and the Central European University.
